天線電視機 / Rabbit Ears Television
當我年輕時，
大人經常去附近涼茶鋪看電視。
後來, 我離開香港，
在加拿大賺取自己的學費和生活費,
父母才可以買得起一部小型天線 rabbit ears 電視機。

家中第一部黑白電視機係用屋頂式魚骨天線的，
左右仲有拉門可以拉埋鎖住架。
外婆一早就買了電視機，
是麗的呼聲有線電視機，
到無線開台她說要換新，
到我的年代已經第三部，
記得是藍寶德國牌子嚟，
所以較幸運未試裝人家，
外婆愛孫兒我們看卡通，
不過要讓外婆看林家聲，
當年ATV的前身有粵劇，
還有任白的黑白大戲片，
其餘時間我們要做功課，
不准開電視機但不用鎖，
吃飯時不開電視要專心，
沒有電視撈飯吃的經驗。

My parents only had a small portable B&W with no sliding doors. By then, I was already living away from home, so there was no need to lock me out :O
SBB:
When I was living with my parents at the North Point (subsidized) Housing Estate, a tenant next door had a Rediffusion cable TV and he would charge two dollars an hour if the neighbourhood kids want to watch. Of course, we kids didn't have the money. So every time he found us peeking thru his windows, he would yelled at us and demanded money. Eventually, he blocked the windows with cardboard paper and that was the end of our free TV !!!!
